Silver has been talked up for years.
Dwindling supply, industrial use, price manipulation etc.
If you believe all that is written then eventually the likes of JP Morgan are going to have to buy copious amounts of the stuff to cover their short positions on their paper trades.
Silver is certainly playing catch up at the moment and going great. As long as the USD weakens and people start jumpimg onboard then I'm happy to go along for the ride.
I have been an accumulator of physical silver since the late eighties and got used to paying $5 an ounce. I buy rounds and pre-decimal Australian silver coins at scrap value.
Given the bubble mentality of the stock market I have also bought into CCU and AYN. Who knows if they will be profitable, so long as the market thinks so and their share prices keep going up then I'm in for the ride. So I have a bet each way, physical silver and silver mining company shares. The trick is to get out before the bubble bursts and not be the one holding the last ticket when the ride is over.
