The big difference between Australia and the USA and UE is that we are a GROWING economy ...
US has overspent and EU is FULL with no room for growth.

EU cannot absorb more people but we can and if Asia wants to improve its standard of living we have the resources, half owned by them, in exchange for immigration and investment.imo.

Let the market of asia partner us and build industry and agriculture in exchange for the lending we need.
We see poor US empty houses but the media forgets to show the housing problems in Asia..?? OH they havent been scammed by US salesmen...

Australia has so much going for it because we didnt lend irresponsibly and we've suffered a lot of deleveraging by US and EU funds.. can we withstand their complete departure ?and why would they leave these growing shores once deleveraged anyway??

When will we see our media present a global set of needs that best suits the countries locations and solutions?
Russia, China, Singapore, Korea and the Arab states Sovereign Funds have invested heavily in the US Banks which the TARP should compensate...but where to from there?
AND we are not in that situation YET??
Please correct any of my opinions as I am just your average Aust..trying to follow economic conditions.

You see I think Rudd had it right first time...about the threat of inflation and the Markets have spooked us all.imo
TOO much money in the system...surely??

Taken from Greenspans speech ten years ago.. fone geeks..
" Indeed, the operation of an effective market economy necessitates that investment funds committed to capital projects that do not accurately reflect consumer and business preferences should incur losses and ultimately be liquidated. What value is left needs to be redirected to profitable uses--those that more accurately reflect market preferences. By such winnowing of inefficiencies, productivity is enhanced and standards of livings expand over time."

TARP is incurring the losses of US toxic lending
projects that do not accurately reflect consumer and business preferences ....and should incur losses and ultimately be liquidated.

Australia just offering a confidence boost to depositors and OS borrowers ...Right?
