I think its being capped for sure - with a fairly constant drip feed at 40.5 and a lump of shares sitting in the sell side at 41c most of the day with hardly any depth on the sell side beyond that all the way to 45c and above.

Question - does the rebalance happen all on one day in a single big hit or can it be done gradually over a period leading up to that date ? I resume it can be done piecemeal up to the date if it needs to be. That makes sense because if they didn't have a single buyer or couple of big buyers to take the disposal, doing it all in one hit on market would tank the share price. but if it was done that way then presumably we would know through substantial s/h notices that would flow from that.

I think its plausible that it's being held down until GDXJ re-balance happens to pushVan Eck to dispose at a lower price. does that work ? if the rebalance is done off-market to one or more big buyers the price of the transfer will be revealing.

It's good to understand how these things work because clearly they are a driving force in the market. it's been a tough few weeks for the Golden Horse and gold generally - for RMS in particular a few issues have combined to bring us back to prices I didn't think we would see again. I snared a few more at 39c and 40.5c this past week - the resolve has been tested though for sure.

On the technicals - the bounce off 1216/17 was important and good chance of a move up from here. The sell off in gold and especially silver has been over done IMO.
