The share price behaviour of virtually all the gold miners is reflected in the attached chart of the HUI- unhedged gold miners(Gold Bugs)index.
Currently the chart is approaching a low in terms of actual value not seen for 10 years and momentum lows not seen for the past 16 years. When the index has reached these levels previously, it has rebounded strongly.
The momentum lows are particularly interesting - these appear to me to be absolute despair levels, always great bait for a contrarian.
I'll hold my cash until early next year and then things could become very interesting.
My humble opinion only and certainly not a recommendation.
