Thanks to all for the constructive posts to relay the information to people who couldn’t be there. To be honest I stopped following IMU on HC because it was becoming a slanging match of people complaining about SP and the management. This thread was a pleasant surprise but again the same comments started to creep in which is a shame.
It seems that some people want to hold the BOD accountable for SP but seem to believe that there is no accountability on there part. Nobody controls when you buy or sell so that is you decision, you need to be accountable for your decision on entry and exit price.
Biotech is speculative and risky, again that is your decision to enter or not. The lottery ticket you buy has a value until the draw, it might be worth something or it maybe worthless. You can sell that lottery ticket for whatever you want if someone is willing to buy it. You might be happy to sell it at a loss or hold out and see if you win the jackpot. No guarantees of course. Maybe we should all send a nasty email to the lottery agency.
The BOD doesn’t get free shares, it is part of a salary package. If you think otherwise then your pay each week must be free cash. I work for my pay and other benefits….it is not free.
IMU didn’t invent or discover the assets it has. PH found them and put them into the company for an allocation of shares based on milestones. Again not free shares.
Shares that are issued as part of a salary package have a set value and tax is paid on that value. So again not really free shares, they have paid some value for them.
BOD members often sell shares to fund the tax liability on shares issued or excise options when due. Like any shareholder they have the right to sell shares within the governance provisions.
These information sessions are held for retail investors not instos or brokers. You should feel privileged that these are held and provide the ability to directly interact with the company. Normally you only get one, the AGM. The BOD and management is doing more than required, I don’t think you can blame the SP on a lack of effort in this area.
Now to the science….why do I think the virus is a winner…because of how it was created. Nature did the work and it was a natural section process. YF was a genius to think of this and to select and screen for the best virus to go forward with. Man hasn’t created this, man is perfecting it.
I have no doubt that the virus that has been developed has every chance of succeeding in the right hands. Based on what I can see it is in good hands. A good drug can fail if the trial isn’t constructed properly, these people have done it more than once and I believe that they have the odds in their favour to do it again.
