The DOW is now green because US regulators have intervened returning some confidence to markets. so hopefully LIN rebounds. To say that these events do not impact market confidence/ASX and therefore impact LIN is naïve. I never said that companies can't go green when overall markets are negative, but fact is, instos take liquidity out of the market when such things happen, so we aren't going to have instos throwing money at this when macro environment goes to shit (particularly if a large bank fails).
