1. Volume wasnt huge, so perhaps some Aussie traders taking money off the table to reinvest elsewhere in the very hot domestic coal bed methane industry? Its a veritable all you can eat smogasboard out there at the moment thanks to Santos.
2. Again, as the volume wasnt huge, and as the announcement did say that the next borehole wouldnt commence till latish October, some Aussie and /or European investors selling ahead of an anticipated short term news drought ie maybe 2 weeks after drilling starts at the new site before any associated news releases?
The problem is EPG is such an enigma to many ... its only been 9 months or so since they were sub 10c ... a positive announcement unrelated to the current drilling program could catch traders unawares eg
.an initial reservoir study for another permit area OR .the anticipated AIM listing OR .granting of the sought after southern permit extension at Lorraine OR .a significant GiP increases at Lorraine due to reserves held within fractured rock between and adjoining the various coal seams OR .successful new permit applications OR .new substantial shareholders or confirmation that existing substantial shareholders have increased holdings .OR .etc etc ... I could name more but you get my drift.
So .... lets see waht tomorrow brings.
