Marenica Energy, formerly West Australian Metals Limited is focused on the expansion and development of its 80% owned Marenica Project in one of the worlds emerging Uranium hot spots, the Uranium rich Damara Province in Namibia. The Marenica Project has already proven highly prospective, with MEY having identified an inferred resource of secondary uranium totalling 34 million pounds and the presence of primary uranium mineralisation. MEY is now moving forward with an aggressive drilling and exploration program to increase its identified resource and to upgrade it to an indicated category in anticipation of a scoping study to be conducted later this year. This program will also encompass drilling exploration to confirm the primary source of the uranium ores. The success of Marenica Energys neighbours in Namibia; including Extracts Rossing South, Arevas Trekkopjie Project and Paladins Langer Heinrich Mine, along with the growing global demand for nuclear energy, ensure that the Marenica Projects potential can not be overestimated.
