That’s what I do only I am geared against commercial property. I don’t suffer the pain of margin calls if I get it wrong and a lower interest rate. Providing I play with blue stocks with yields that somewhat counter any interest payments I can trade with little risk. I don’t trade for a living as such but rather trade to increase my shareholdings. If I see the stock as a long-term hold the profit is always held in shares only the capital originally invested is removed.
If I don’t see any opportunities I send the borrowed equity back to the bank.
So providing I pick entries and exits correctly I love the current market conditions. If it continues to trade side ways bouncing around 5 to 10% a couple of times a year this suits me perfectly.
