we need Clark Kent to tell us it been another good day in the market, and that he is only down some $$$$$.
Its been obvious for months the market would tank. The question was when and just how far (and for how long). My portfolio too is down, but I sold down much earlier so I have not actually made a loss on my investments, but have lost most of my paper profits. As my portfolio is based on borrowed money selling down is an essential strategy.
what to do will depend on each person's circumstances. i plan to just ride this out with my remaining shares, and will buy some more when i feel its right. I am still bullish on commodities longer term, especially oil and gold.
