margin call question

I had a Margin Call fro Commsec Friday at 4.15pm but did not recieve the e-mail or mobile phone message until this morning. The e-mail message said to contact them Saturday before 2pm to deposit funds or give more shares as security or they will sell my portfolio to cover my obligation.
My questions are:
How strict are they on deadlines, mine was less 24hrs?
If they are strict on deadlines do sell everything in your portfolio or just enough to cover the obligation?
I sent them an e-mail immediately I found out saying I will deposit cash into the account on Monday, will they accept this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
