Not financial suicide if you put 50% cash in, pick top quality blue chips that have retraced, if you take into account cashflow considerations and buy some blue chips before paying out dividends you could do very very well indeed imho.

Still believe banks will only fall to the level where the yield becomes attractive. Still maintain banks will be sought after for their defensiveness in any situation so therefore will outperform the Aussie market for a long while yet.

The opportunities are out there to use margin lending very effectively and earn a nice little dividend stream through someone elses money!
