Hi dunworkin this is my first post so sorry if it is long winded. I have followed HC about 15 mth now and it has been a very informative and also gives me a laugh as well, as for your idea re the Margin loan for CER i would be more likely do the following put the 150k into a more reliable stock like Telstra which is tipped to settle around mid 4.28 by this time next year. you would cover your interest from the fully franked dividends and if the price settled at 4.28 or better you would end up with approx 10000 shares that were worth 40k and have an income of around 2.5k per year from there on in anyway just my opinion I hold both CER and TLS.
