Hello BB and Seamisty,
No doubt the legal experts have it all under control..
I will try to read your posted links BB..
Thanks for your encouragement BB..but I only know what is written in the media ,and I have to stretch my searching of that, to try and understand the sharemarket trading and how Companies operate etc..I post what might interest others who do understand it..
I'm very much stabbing in the dark..and I dont pretend to be knowledgable..just determined..and to see all angles.
This is a once in a lifetime event..with so many contributing factors coming from so many vantage points.
So many peoples work should not be dismissed and brought undone without searching for what happened.imo.
On this subject of Directors margin loans and many companies were in this position..I wonder under what conditions.. with whom etc did they take this course of action? knowing it made SP vulnerable?
Links about financing recently posted start to explain its complexity and dangers..imo.
It really is like a game of chess with castles, pawns and white knights and Kings...Fortresses and Drwabridges too.The sharemarket can be a gamble and companies SP can become very vulnerable even when a co has equity.
That must be the biggest lesson coming from recent events.
Short selling and powerful traders in the marketplace.
As it stands now..I feel..
Without someone defending small investors they are helpless...Who represents them and questions the trading,
the connections,the flow of assets?
If no-one is investigating 'all' parties the system will just run its expected course...close shop, blame some high profiles and it may never be understood..just what happened..?
An educated onlooker might well see it all clearly..but I have to muddle through and learn as I go along.
The media has limited time and space..the courts carry enourmous burden and are used by those who can afford them
but there is much that will never be examined..
I am collecting as much of this story as I can.
Good luck to those who are 'actually involved' in this case.
Seamisty your posting is interesting ..
I personally would not blame Investors to make redemption requests..didnt a polititian do something similar recently?
BUT it should be transparent who is doing what.imo.
so many Company names..its hard to recognise just who is who?.. Isnt it?
Hope it all goes well in 09.
I am running out of search ideas..believe it or not.
Nice to chat..
Researcher.
