Bauxite price is linked to the traded price of Alumina. The bauxite price is determined by the alumina content of the bauxite ore with deductions for unwanted impurities (such as reactive silica). Alumina is the traded commodity not bauxite. Currently spot alumina prices are increasing. The long term average of alumina is about USD 200/tonne. At this price bauxite can be expected to be sold between USD 30 - USD 45 /tonne. View that darling ranges bauxite is low alumina content (abt 36%) i expect that darling ranges bauxite in an un-beneficated condition would be at the bottom end of of the price range.
