Lawyers don't have to be involved one bit for something to be legally binding, nor does anything have to be signed, it's all about the intent and wording in discussions, I just asked my lawyer and they read over today's announcements, they've said there must be something more to it in those emails otherwise MZN have nothing. Which is what I've been posting here.
Also it won't be expensive which everyone keeps going on about, it's a quick thing in the courts, it should be done within the month depending how quick they get their case heard, even if there are appeals these are also quick. It's not a complex, huge case. The only expenses will the the lawyers and court fees and since it won't be and can't be drawn out by either parties it will be quick and relatively cheap.
There will also be no pay off to MZN from KDR just to go away, it's either MZN have something real and KDR will be forced by the courts to honour the binding agreement, or there is nothing and MZN pays legal costs and may be sued but there's not much to that either.
This is all or nothing for KDR and MZN, but KDR have more on the line here.
End of the day it will down to the judge and what is in those emails, I think there is a smoking gun in there and KDR did something stupid when they had no interest in the lithium.
