I'd say it has a lot to do with Martin Donahue if he is part of the email exchanges and communications between the companies. It all comes down to honesty and what the judge believes after reading the evidence. MZN feel they have a strong case otherwise they would take this to the wire,To try and brush it off the lifetime ban for misleading and deceptive conduct as some family dispute then his lifetime ban was reduced to 10 years is just fantasy and you know it. He was on was on the board of KDR within 12 months and started stirring it up internally. A look at his LinkedIn page and his very lack of endorsements says it all really.

I'd say that most fair minded individuals could agree that this can go either way and no reason for it not to. ( Going also by my 25+ years in Contract Management in Tier 1 mining) If MZN have enough leverage in the first round at the Supreme Court with what they have then we will see a completely different picture from what you are trying to paint. MZN SP will head high on that type of news in the short term, those options will be like ripe cherries for the picking and cashed up.I would be more worried about KDR at this point than MZN being made an example of.
9/10th of the law, not part of this situation. It's down to email content, intent and any meetings with minutes taken or even recorded on a phone. Good chance KDR could have been put into a corner on this by experienced hands but that's just an unfounded opinion.

The thing is, if it's thrown out at the start then MZN may walk and will continue with the drilling so they don't have too much to loose, KDR on the other hand....

Damages claims are very unlikely if a decent but possible but believe that MZN would be already proving up grades by the end of the year/beginning of Jan. Anything big and well we all know the path it will take.

If it goes pair shaped then I would probably buy into the company that buys them for a song but I'd say that happening may be very remote.

Like you I own both KDR ( 11.7c average) & MZN 1.5c average after collecting profits the other day and buying back in)

I'm sitting on the fence on what way it will go, nobody knows until the details come out.

The reality is KDR and MZN, neither wears a halo but no point trying to make out MZN are the baddies. They will both want this to be resolved ASAP to get back on track. Business is business.
