    Hi 123
I fail to see what is wrong with a thermo nuclear dump if things go against him.
He's playing against the A team who have shown that they will stoop to anything to win. Same as a mafia informant would be wise to keep a little 'insurance".

"If a real journalist had real news, he'd publish it for its own sake. But, Assage, by using his "news" as a bargaining chip, he gives away his game. It's not journalism."

Don't forget that a "real" journalist usually has a large wealthy organisation to back him up, Assange, has to arrange his own insurance. He is doing what no other media organisation would do, that is be the first(they all followed like little puppydogs)to publish leaked info.

"It's a weapon of war. A weapon of a man with a distorted ego. Any news he has is for his benefit to use as he sees fit, not as a public service."

"Weapon of war", that's a bit over the top, don't you think? As for using information as he sees fit, do you think that Newscorp are in it to make a dollar for their own benefit and more importantly, do you think that they publish all the information that they come across? If not, why not?Is that journalism, and if it is then are they still journalists?

"And if anyone tries to hold him accountable, he'll use his weapon. He is a pimple on humanity."

What does "accountable" mean in this context? If we have free speech at all it means we are not accountable for what we say, in the sense of criminal sanctions. If our speech is criminalised then we have no freedom of speech.
    Pretty simple.

As for the argument that the information is not his to disseminate, then it was stolen from the biggest information thieves in the world, the US government, which spy on everyone for political, military and commercial reasons. just think Eschelon.

    cheers
