Nothing like time on your hands - and silence - time to reflect - to often make one realise the error of one's previous ways. Very often - the hard way - and in the most gruelling of personal circumstances, some of us "grow" and "strengthen", in character. I see Latham as being in this category.
Whereas Hewson and Fraser have descended into ugly bitterness and regret. So, yes - all credit to Latham. He has his views - not all of the Right - many lots would not agree with - nor do I - but he isn't just bleating the same old same old "ground hog day" set in stone Party line. Balh blah blah blah blah head nodding. (SO called "leading journalist - such as Oakes, CAssidy, Tony Jones ABC and others - take note!")
"Pride cometh before a fall" - says the Bible.
But, so often, great wisdom can come, after it!
Which is why the great prophets retreated into the wildernesses - where "things" can be seen, clearer, for what they really are - from afar - no background noise or pressures.
(Off topic - had a dream - or more like a nightmare - within which the hot tip for royal baby name was = "Kevin.") It's a wonder "he's" not been lobbying, at least, to pull this off!
Yes, "His Majesty, King Kevin." Sound good? The ultimate "piece de resistance!".
