Tick tock for poor old John. Consigned to the loser bin. BUt he has company, least you can keep him company.
Not that I want to appear to drop names, but I have met all the protagonists. Latham is the only one (Howard / Costello / Crean / Beazley / Carr) that impresses me as a real leader. When Keating was in power (1995), I first met him, and said then he would be the next Labor PM.
Want to ralk policy. The only thing Latham has said in Parliament since leader has been about the future, where he wants to take Australia, what policy platforms he has. The bankrupt Liberals reply only with vitriol. Now that has not been missed by the common punter, and shows what fear the Lib's have of him.
