"Elsewhere, Intiger Asset Management is understood to be close to appointing former Financial Planning Association of Australia boss Mark Rantall as non-executive chairman.

The high-profile appointment by the fintech group may happen as early as Monday. It would mark Rantall's first role following his departure from the FPA, which represents 11,500 financial advisers, in November.

His advice experience will come in handy at Intiger, which is eyeing an ASX backdoor listing. The company digitises and automates components of the financial advice process to slash costs, and is aimed at advisers at a time when they are competing with robo-advice products.

Patrick Canion, chief of Perth financial planning agency ipac WA, is also expected to join the Intiger team as a non-executive director. "
