He was responsible for one of the largest and scandalous waste of taxpayers' money in this country, apart from the NBN of course, the setting up of News 24. Who, on this earth, is the slightest bit interested in WATCHING a news bulletin 24 hours a day. One can't help wondering how this money could have been much better utilised. You only have to listen to radio news broadcasts, to realise how much of it consists of endless repetition eg the flight of welfare seekers to welfare beckoning Europe, or whether Abbott will or will not be deposed. Why waste money by repeating it ,ad naseum, on News 24?
