How do you think this will benefit CER/CNP as an Australian company and these rules are in the US. I assume it will have no impact on CER or CNPs reporting as they will have to stick to Australian rules.
The only benefit I see is that when they try to roll over debt facilities the banks see it at fair value, not distresses value and this should lessen the need to sell off assets to pay down debt.
