    1:02pm White smoke update. White smoke seen billowing from Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant is coming from the No. 3 reactor (not No. 4 reactor), the country's nuclear safety agency confirmed to Kyodo News. The facility's embattled operator, Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO), said it may be steam.

    Mmmmm it may be STEAM - not smoke? So why try and beat it up?? Sheesh...anything to sell a paper as if the earthquake wasn't bad enough.

    I'd almost forgotten that the problem in Japan was caused by an earthquake and resultant tsunami. If this is the only damage to the nuclear reactors after such a catastrophic event..and considering the reactors are due for replacement due being on the verge of obsolescence...I think the future of nuclear energy is looking far brighter. On the positive side, all countries that now host these reactors are checking them and are LEARNING from what has transpired.
