PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY Aircruising Australia Limited (AIG) operates special interest tour programmes under the Bill Peach Journeys brand, both within Australia and to other global regions. The tour programs are separated into three categories: Aircruising, Focus Journeys and Rail Cruises Australia. The tour programs are targeted at small groups, with all tours including accommodation and meals.
AIRCRUISING: Aircruising provides parties of up to 40 people with exclusive use of a private aircraft. AIG offers journeys of up to 12 days, with tour destinations including Cape York, the Great Australian Bight, the Great Barrier Reef and New Zealand.
FOCUS JOURNEYS: Launched in 2002, Focus Journeys encompass journeys of the Australian Outback, Cape York, the Flinders Ranges and South Western Australia. Focus Journeys are targeted at smaller groups (of between 10 and 25 people) who wish to explore a specific region of Australia. The Focus Journeys require a combination of modes of transport, with the major being road. Other transport includes light aircraft, cruise vessels and trains.
RAILCRUISING: Rail Cruises were introduced to offset the decline in international travel. Railcruising involves the use of a private train, carrying a maximum of 48 people per journey. The train includes 4 heritage carriages, restored to maximise space. The train includes a dining area, lounge car and library. The rail cruise is an 8 day package through NSW.
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL: AIG operates tour programs to the following international destinations: Antarctica, the Adriatic Sea (cruise by Super Yacht), China, South Africa, Conquistadors, Incas & Galapagos Islands, Namibia, Russia, Slovenia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Tibet and Uzbekistan. The International Journeys range from 10 to 19 days, with the option to chose a private or small group journey.
SUMMER SEASON: AIG offer flight training during the off-peak summer season. In addition, AIG runs 'Aircruising New Zealand' and 'Isles of the Southern Straits' during the summer.
CONTRACT TO THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN NAVY: This is a 5-year contract, supplying aviation services to the LADS Corporation as prime contractor to the Royal Australian Navy. This is a major project involving the survey of the continental shelf of Australia.
