@Fela "(a) FRG is dud technology that doesn't offer anything over a standard Good Guys / Dyson air purifier "
Whoever has stated it is a "dud" technology?? No-one...
It is not nor has ever been comparable to existing mass marketed air purifiers. Nor should it ever be compared with them. It is a different technology..
The FRG unit is a unit that produces both ozone and hydroxyl free radicals, just like a lot of ozone generators and hydroxyl generators that are already on the market!!
What seems to be 'unique' is the way it produces the free radicals. So what? From a consumer perspective, the intended market, they will not care if the hydroxyl radicals are produced by corona discharge or UV light inside the box. They care about the cost, the effectiveness, the life and maintenaince of the unit, and if it looks pretty.
Hydroxyl generators already exist, like the one below that you can currently purchase .....
What would be the advantage of a purifloh unit over an "Ohair" unit?? That, and units like it are the competition for air purification, not standard 'air purifiers'.
Ozone generators have been around for decades, ask yourself why no major 'air purifier' company has one of these as a common household good already?? Or better yet do the research and find out why!!
