The 1st of August wasn't that long ago and there has been like 20 updates since its release. I would imagine after beta testing for a year you wouldn't expect many updates towards the end anyway. You're making it sound as if the app is ready then everything is ready. The beta testers possibly aren't even paying for the subscription - it might be free for them.
In regards to testing on Android: They would definitely be doing internal testing for Android. I'm a developer myself and by no means do they have do a public beta on all platforms. I mean, they could do this in the future, but it's not like public testing on all devices is that big of a deal.
Also, personally I don't think the name being similar to "dough finance" is a problem at all. if Douugh launches successfully this is unlikely to matter.
