In light of the recent sentiment change towards a higher for longer environment I found some of the comments made at the recent Waypoint AGM to be quite interesting. They quoted anecdotal reports that promising buyer interest in convenience retail assets has cooled again from earlier in the year based on potential investors getting back into a wait and see mindset. Despite this they've recently sold three assets with a combined book value of 9 million (no word on whether book value was achieved) and have identified 80 million of non core assets for sale in their portfolio so how they go with that gives us a good yard stick as to how much luck DXC will have trying to do a similar thing. This has drifted back down to my average purchase price and now I feel like it may even get back around $2.50 in the not too distant future. My positive long term perspective hasn't changed but I think it's going to take much longer than I expected for the deep value to be recognised by the broader market.
