market depth and buy orders

I want to know how the market depth and sell/buy orders would change if there were a positive ann. i want to purchase more shares on top of what i already have. say preopen monday a deal is announced and the effect on share price is sp goes up. i currently have an order in at 2.7 cents, would all the 2.7 sell orders be pulled or would my order get filled, this sounds like a beginner question, however im not sure how it works. i know for the sp to go up buy orders must be placed at higher prices than the market price.
