the indicative price is an 'indication' of what the share price will re-open at.
Surplus volume is how many units/shares are left avaliable at the indicative price. So if their is a indicative price of 47 cents and asurplus of 22079, and i put in an order for 22080 shares above 47 cents then the indicative price would move up accordingly.
the asx website has some good expliantions as well.
