OMG - you suggest investors should treat property and stocks the same - really?
When did you last put you share portfolio over your head to keep yourself and your family sheltered? Folk hold on to property for many valid uses as well as the property's investment value IMO!
What use has a stock holding got other than to make money for an investor? So if it fail to do that what good is it? None at all I would suggest! Which is why investors tend to bail out early because stocks have no other valid uses except maybe as toilet paper....
