A friend is going out on a limb(not), buying a subdividable home in Northam(Perth), a fibro joint(asbestosis free), for $160k. Seller is renting it back for $260. The Immigration Detention Centre is being built there and Serco has about 100 staff and associated service industry to service the centre is required.
Northam sits on the Avon River.
What does $160k get you these days? Not even a decent share porfolio. Good on him :))
