I am not sure, but I think the reason for this is mostly australians are investing in the resource boom. I think that whenever the commodities list is in the green, I do well, whenever the dow is up, it makes no difference to my portfolio.
I follow zinc, copper uranium gold and nickel. That seems to dictate what happens with the ord. Correct me if I am wrong
