What happened at MUS was that there were a bunch of uprampers who kept talking up how much the rubies the company had were going to be worth - MILLIONS! The 'downrampers' raised some legitimate concerns for disucssion, and were just shouted down simply because they did not hold shares.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, those rubies were not worth anywhere near what the uprampers thought and pity all the people that listened to those guys and had their investment absolutely destroyed as a result. Existing holders had a chance to get out prior to the auction, or at least hedge it and take some off the table. I guess some may have listened to the downrampers and did this. Others may have listened to the uprampers and continued to hold or even load up, only to be crushed when reality hit.
What the uprampers will tell you though is that it was somehow all the downrampers' fault for hurting their feelings, and that it was their negative energies that destroyed their investment. Even when reality proved the downrampers to be right, the uprampers still believed they held the moral highground, castigating the downrampers for rubbing salt into their wounds, not taking responsibility for talking crap up to other mom and pop investors.
