Hmmm ... globalisation brought with it negative inflation numbers due to outsourcing manufacturing to third world countries ... this legacy allowed a profligate Fed to inflate parabolically to keep the 'recession genie' in the bottle. Better to face a recession in the late '90's and get the productive house in order than 'pay the piper' now but that is another story.
Not surprising the Market is getting jittery ...
