I am no expert on the markets but I read comments by one "marc faber" who supposedly predicted the 1987 crash. According to him, what we're seeing now is a result of investors conditioned to buy on the dips. Recent corrections have always led to higher peaks being reached and this has attracted investors who automatically buy on such corrections. However he is sure this time will be no mere correction.
What can us mug investors do eh? No way of telling how these things turn out. Best to just buy, hold and ignore all the news. Too stressful otherwise.
