    I would be using 1871 (Formation of the Syndey Exchange) or 1937 (Formation of the Associated Stock Exchange) or 1987 (Formation of the ASX).

    If there is any truth to this approach then one of those tree years should probably be the correct starting point.

    I would use 1871, not sure of the exact date.
