I have to agree with you that the term 'sophisticated investor' is totally inappropriate.

I've seen plenty of grubby individuals with money who aren't the least bit 'sophisticated'.

sophisticated: (of a person, ideas, tastes, manners, etc.) altered by education, experience, etc., so as to be worldly-wise; not naive.

I've also met plenty of people who are sophisticated based on their tastes, manners, ideas, etc. and I enjoy their company immensely. Give me that kind of individual over the 'grubby' moneyed kind any day. ;-)

And, oh look, buyers at 18 sellers at 18.5. Now isn't that nice.
