Stanjupter, Tks for post, you are correct imbruvica or ibrutinib has been FDA approved for gvhd in fact it was one of the first In the FDA s breakthrough designation ..I know the medicine pretty well as much as anyone, I speak to the imbruvica hot line if I need any answers ,also I have a top oncologist appointment no monthly ..... I question your statement about the medicine has a common theme about causing deaths ,if that was the case The FDA would pull the pin on it ..Of course there are some side effects,iv been on it for 8 months and may never get off it .If anybody had a dodgy heart before taking imbruvica the consequences would need to be taken into consideration .. What imbruvica does is target and blocks and inhibits the spread of cancer ..GVHD is the only indication of imbruvica outside of oncology ..Side effects ,any powerful drug will have side effects maybe stem cells will not !!
