Rather than trying to double guess what your auditor will accept, I would ask them. There is no 'market' for the shares, valuation is difficult.
But then there is the issue that the shares can't be transferred to you without the permission of the liquidator or the court:

Might be better to ask ATO directly. I know my SMSF auditor doesn't have a clue about much.
