While it may be your typo, it's a huge error to say AZY Total reported shorts are 250 million instead of the correct approx 2.5 million, on a public forum. Especially after leading in the first line that shorts are up 800% since April.
That last stat is true. But would also be true if 1 share was shorted and now there are 8 shares shorted. The percentage is off a low base as you can see on that chart.
Stocktrack.com.au show new AZY shorts at 22,042 on 24 June. New AZY shorts were 44,255 on 23 June. You could say new daily shorts dropped by 50% last Friday. #FunWithPercentages.
