Who really knows. I think it was just a result of interest in the coal sector. I have found that when something is cooking CR or M&A there is a rise in shorted shares, which I don't think is the case here. I wouldn't say it's off the cards, but i'd lean to it just being interest in the coal sector. If SP refuses to move, even though like minded companies are, then that would suggest something else is going on.
