SALE OF ENCRYPTION UPGRADE TO U.S. MILITARY

IC2 Global Limited is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Westel Wireless Systems Pty Limited (WWS), will ship the beta version of its new software upgrade to the U.S. Military this week, two months ahead of schedule.
The new product line will enable the Westel base station to repeat a radio signal that uses an existing analogue encryption system known as DES-XL. DES-XL is commonly used by the military for securing communications at military bases and airfields.
The product allows the military to upgrade Westel base stations already in the field and opens up a substantial market for Westel base stations to be purchased as replacements for the military’s existing installed base. WWS believes that this product will drive base station sales in a previously unavailable market segment. This enhanced capability is also applicable to the Australian market.
WWS believes that the successful development of this software demonstrates its ability to continue to develop world-class products for the public safety communications market. This capacity, combined with the recent doubling of average monthly sales of base station and repeater products highlights the growth potential of WWS in this USD2 billion a year market.
