The reason was simple. They didn't have the funds to do the clinical trials necessary to get FDA approval for something like vitiligo. They did have the funding to do the trials for burns, thanks to their contract with BARDA. I've said it before, without American taxpayers who fund BARDA there probably wouldn't be an Avita at this point. It's likely in my opinion that Perry had a large role in procuring that contract.
