Guess apart from politics with the $ locked in and good operator , no sensationalised reports people see it as boring but to me it is a pure gas energy play against teh shortage of oil in the future.

I see it as a quiet achiever for my bank account and the experience with dealing with the PNG government and locals is something no newcomer will ever understand the value of.

Landslides etc have all been experienced before and are handled in a professional way and the coup hardly caused a blip for them.

Biggest fear is getting taken out cheaply too early by one of the gorillas as they have no protection other than the incoming owner will need to be PNG aware - no one fits the bill so partnering is as close as they have got so far.

The ability to throw off cash in a couple of years time is huge and will get valued in.

A lot less risk than most think. I know lots who have waited for decent pullbacks to enter and just aren't game to chase it always thinking they will get in cheaper. Hasn't worked for them and I have missed a couple of top up chances myself.

Delays will produce the biggest downside if they happen or messing with the current formulae and trying to add more capacity before the original plans are enacted.
