    From memory it took the Australian government about ten years to decide which type of subs they wanted to replace their aging fleet. Then armed with the research from those ten years it took the Australian government a further three plus years to specify and select the new subs.

    If I understand correctly it has taken less than six months for this government to decide we need a national broadband network and about one lunch with a few Telstra competitors to arrive at the budget of $43b.

    You bet your life NBN Co will go belly up if it ever starts operating a network.
