Just thought I’d add some comments to perhaps reassure stock market investors .
It is always painful when you see your portfolio sink but you only realise a loss when you sell .
Historically the market always has these gyrations but over time the market does perform better than any other asset class .
People get caught by overcomitttimg or over levering themselves . Not a good idea in the market at any time .
It’s always nice to have some cash on days like today - to pick away at quality stocks . Don’t go all in at once .
On days like this focus on the important stuff - good health , family etc .
Just some ramblings from me . Feel free to add comments . New folk to the market may learn from crusty old investors like me . No guru and I’m still learning after 35 years plus playing the market .
