“Global production of graphite is nowhere near meeting demand. Total global production of flake graphite in 2016 was around 860,000 tonnes and not all this material is able to generate expandable graphite. China alone is forecast to have future demand for 40 million tonnes of fire-retardant building materials a year, which will in turn require 2 million tonnes of high-quality large flake graphite per annum.
From an investment perspective, the global fire protection materials market size was estimated at USD 2.7 billion in 2019 and is projected to reach USD 4.0 billion by 2024, growing at a CAGR of 8.5% ”
