The tick up over the past few days means traders will be attracted to the 'trend is your friend' . My favourite MA has crossed over now and while every trader uses different MAs to cross, it means that there is a green trend forming. However, the big unknown is what messages will be in the forthcoming update. This will either drive the SP waaaaaaaaaaaay up or waaaaaaaaaaaay down. I think most people will be wanting the see a stabilisation of earnings, a reduction in costs, perhaps some dialogue or resolution around any class action, and a story about opportunity in a consolidating sector.
