Perth Energy was sold by Infratil to AGL recently for $93m. It is an electricity retailer with 1400 GWh of sales as well as 1.1 PJ in gas sales. It also generates electricity from a 120 MW power station. Not a lot more detail was given by AGL. The question it raises is that what value would that confer to LPE which has only a retail customer business while Perth Energy has much more? I realize there are big differences between the two but one should be able to make a rough estimate of LPE's value from this.
